🎙️ About the speakers:

Dr. Katherine Rice
is Applications and Market Development Manager for Atom Probe Tomography at CAMECA in Madison, Wisconsin. In her role, she supports customers and internal teams through scientific communication, training, workflow development, and identification of emerging opportunities for atom probe across materials research. She received her PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder and completed an NRC postdoctoral appointment at NIST in Boulder. Her technical background spans atom probe tomography, transmission EBSD, and nanoparticle synthesis, with a focus on translating advanced characterization capabilities into practical solutions for researchers and industry.  Katie loves speaking with customers about their materials science work and challenges.

Dr. Yimeng Chen earned his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Tsukuba, where his research focused on the laser-assisted field evaporation behavior of oxide materials. He subsequently conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Michigan, investigating oxidation and irradiation effects in metals and alloys. Prior to his current role, Dr. Chen served as a Senior Principal Scientist specializing in atom probe tomography (APT) at Eurofins EAG. He is currently a Lead Scientist at CAMECA, where his work is dedicated to expanding the capabilities and applications of APT across a broad range of materials systems.

David Reinhard graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison with a BS in Materials Science and Engineering in 2005.  He has spent his entire career working in the field of atom probe tomography beginning with Imago Scientific Instruments in 2004 in the applications lab. He is currently the Atom Probe Product Manager at CAMECA helping to guide developments in hardware and software and actively collaborating with researchers around the world.
