CAMECA was pleased to support and attend the NanoSIMS user meeting which took place in August 22-24, 2017 at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research – UFZ - in Leipzig, Germany. The meeting was organized this year by Dr Niculinat Musat's team from the UFZ Department of Isotope Biogeochemistry.
Under the theme «NanoSIMS & correlative microscopy: exploring physical and biochemical boundaries», this edition gathered worldwide NanoSIMS users from different backgrounds (scientists, project managers) as well as representatives of the main manufacturing companies for sample preparation, high resolution microscopy, spectroscopy ... and SIMS (!) to discuss challenges and share complementary techniques and instruments available.
François Horréard (CAMECA NanoSIMS Product Manager) presented recent news from CAMECA and Nu Instruments including the launch of a new ICP-MS, new results with the RF Plasma source on NanoSIMS 50L, various other software and hardware improvements.
